Born into a family of entrepreneurs and raised in Tuscola, TX, Kate grew up learning the family businesses, developing a strong work ethic, camping on long weekends, and traveling with her family across the country to see famous historical sites.  

Kate graduated college with a BS in English Education and a M.Ed in School Counseling.  She taught high school English for nine years and worked as a high school counselor for four years, mostly in Richardson, TX.

She met her husband, Joey, in Richardson, and after the birth of their second child, they decided to move back to Abilene to raise their children in a smaller community and closer to family.  

Kate obtained her real estate license in 2018 and joined Texas Lifestyles Group in 2019.  She works with buyers and sellers, pre-exisitng homes and new construction.  She also owns a homebuilding company along with her parents, sister, and brother-in-law.  Kate has been named New Construction Agent of the Year for the past 4 years.

In 2021, Kate began attending Texas Association of Builder's meetings, and became involved in the Texas Professional Women in Building.  She currently serves our local Big Country PWB as 2nd Vice President, and serves as Vice Chair at the state level PWB.
